Welcome to Escano Law

We are an immigration law practice committed to unifying families and preventing the removal of individuals facing deportation in the United States. Some of our areas of expertise include family immigration law, citizenship, removal defense, and asylum/refugee law.

At Escano Law, we provide thorough consultations and work hard to assure that our clients' urgent needs are met and that the immigration process runs as smoothly and as accurately as possible. We take pride in our personal experiences in the immigration process and the handling of complex legal issues. Our accessibility helps us build trust with our clients and sets us apart from other immigration practitioners.

Meet Diecelis Escano, Esq.

Diecelis Escano, Esq. is the managing attorney at Escano Law. Since 2007, Ms. Escano has zealously

represented clients before the Immigration Courts, Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA), United States Court of Appeals, and the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). Ms. Escano spent the first 10 years of her legal career practicing immigration law in New York City, New Jersey, and the Washington, D.C. area, where she handled complex asylum and criminal immigration deportation cases. Ms. Escano currently operates her own immigration practice in Providence, RI, however she continues to represent clients nationwide.

Born in the Dominican Republic, Ms. Escano immigrated to the United States at the age of eight as a lawful permanent resident. In 1991, she became a naturalized U.S. citizen. Her personal and legal background has played an instrumental role in her ability to identify with her clients' immigration experience and specific needs.

Ms. Escano is a graduate of Boston College and Seton Hall University School of Law. She is admitted to the New Jersey Supreme Court, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.
